This work is an overview, a taking-stock piece, a consideration of some critical experiences in my life thus far, a kind of review, asking: Where have I come from and where am I holding in my life’s trajectory?
It consists of varied small components from clay, porcelain, plaster, glass, rubber, metal and felt, whether cast, molded, welded, split or cut.
Without a one-to-one key or explanation, I like to think of this piece as a work which invites contemplation and reflection, and, I hope, evokes deep personal thoughts in the viewer.
